My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buddy is a Courtesy Listing and is not housed at the Animal Shelter. Please note that the City of Bloomington Animal Care & Control accepts no responsibility for this pet. Potential adopters are responsible for communicating directly with the pet's guardian.
Buddy is originally a stray for whom she could not find the owners. He is really friendly with people and other dogs. He has not been around cats or children with her, but was good with the older teenagers he's been around. He wants to play all the time but owner's medical issues prevent her from interacting. Pets Alive thinks he's barely a year old. He does jump and is full of energy and gets the zoomies a lot! He is housebroken, she puts him on a runner when he goes out but he would love someone who could take him on regular walks. He has never shown any aggression. He's just overall a fun friendly guy in search of a home to play in.

Additional adoption info

Please come in and visit with our pets available for adoption. Once you find an animal you would like to adopt, you will be asked to fill out an adoption survey and meet with an adoption counselor. We do require landlord approval and we do not adopt out animals to live completely outside. Our adoption fees are $75 for dogs and cats under 5 years old and $55 for those 5 years and older.

More about this shelter

The shelter has very active volunteer and foster programs. Volunteers walk dogs and help with cat care. Fosters take young, shy and injured animals into their homes to prepare them for adoption. Learn more on our website and consider getting involved today!
