Meet Hops. His short life already has a long history starting as a stray turned into a local shelter with his bonded friend a year ago. The person that found them came back and adopted both but life changed. They REHOMED his friend and Hops found himself back at the shelter again. He was adopted a second time only to be returned a few weeks later, Surely his third placement left him confused. He got out, was turned into the shelter and what was to be his third adopter left him there. When placed for the 4th time Hops was scared, confused and unsure. He saw an open gate after an hour and ran. Over the next 20 days he went from OB to Pt Loma, Mission Hills and was finally trapped on Harbor Dr across from the Airport. This guy was going to define flight risk literally.
He is now in foster and looking to make his final landing. After decompressing his personality is starting to shine. He is a LOVER and soooo sweet. He is dog neutral. He prefers women to men but embraces unconditional love from any patient and kind presence. He is great on leash. He does have some anxious energy to work through (understandable since the last year has involved being separated from his bonded brother, 4 shelter stays and 3+ homes). He has lived with a cat but was not a fan. He’s only just over 2.5 years old:(. Let’s get him home. Scottish or Skye terrier mix.
Because of my Flight Risk I cannot be left unattended in a yard, crated is a must when you are gone, tight grip on the leash at all times while on adventures and my new family must be aware of open doors and windows. Off leash activities are not safe for me. Will you be my dream and final destination?
