Hi there, my name is Phaedra and I am a 2-3 year old purebred Rat Terrier female that weighs only 15lbs, people say I could stand to lose a pound or 2 though. I have been spayed, am up to date on my vaccines, and I have never had heartworm disease because I take my monthly prevention. My rescuers do not know what happened to me and why I ended up at the local shelter, but boy was I scarred! It was very obvious to them I was someones beloved housepet at one time and had never seen a place such as the shelter. Even the shelter Director noticed how much I wanted out of there and one of the employees shared a few french fries with me. I was so happy to be taken to my foster home where everyone got to learn all about me. I get along well with other dogs but prefer the more quieter types like myself, I do just fine with cats, but most of all I just LOVE people! I love being held and loved on very much. People have not always been nice to me though as my rescuers feel that I have been mistreated at one point in time. Because of this I may not be suitable for a home with small children, but older children who will be gentle with me I would be fine with. Please give me a loving, safe, forever home. I can't wait to meet you!
