My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Yuba, Dooba, Doo! Say hello to Yuba, a 5-year old, 23-pound Australian Cattle dog/Beagle mix who is housebroken, an avid power-walker, and good on a leash!

Still in the prime of her life, Yuba is equal parts active and chill. She loves chewing on bones, playing fetch, and flinging her toys around for amusement. She also loves time on the couch where she can be cuddled, snuggled, and pet. She likes being close to her humans and will actually attempt to drape her body over yours, if she can!

A good eater, Yuba enjoys mealtime and treat time, and is very respectful around food. She is terrific in a car, preferring a window seat of course, and is happy to go wherever you steer the ship. She seems unfazed by strangers and other dogs, and can likely adapt to a variety of living situations. Yuba has no reaction if you touch her food or toys, and she allows all manner of petting and handling. Basically, she’s as sweet as can be! She just wants to give and receive love, and she’ll stare deeply into your eyes like you’re her absolute idol.

If you’ve been looking for that one special dog with whom to share your life, Yuba crazy to let this one go! ;-)

More about this rescue

PupStarz Rescue is an animal welfare group committed to the rescue and rehabilitation of dogs and cats in public shelters at high risk of euthanasia, as well as those in danger of abuse. We are committed to rescuing as many animals as possible, saving over 2,600 dogs and cats since 2015.

PupStarz Rescue is a foster-based rescue, relying on fosters to open their homes and lives to our Animals. Animals in our care receive proper medical care, including alteration, vaccinations, and microchipping.

Following a thorough screening, our animals are placed in loving, responsible, committed forever homes. PupStarz Rescue ensures that adoptions are an appropriate match for both the animal and their new family by educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a furry companion into their lives.

We are committed to the welfare of our "Starz" beyond the adoption process. We maintain open communication with our adopters to ensure a smooth transition, and offer additional support such as positive training techniques.

Founded in 2015, PupStarz Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)3, no-kill, animal rescue organization.
