My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

(We have a transport trip on 4/13/24 to Northern Cali. And Medford, OR.! And will be extending our trip to other areas of Northern California along with OR for the right families. We will be asking for transport costs to be divided between all adopters in route to help alleviate the total costs involved.)
Meet Kira. She is a 1 year old female miniature schnauzer mix. We were told her mom was a miniature schnauzer and dad was a miniature schnoodle. She is hypoallergenic and looks more schnauzer than anything. She weighs close to 11 lbs, and yes, she is full grown and is at a healthy weight.

She is set to be spayed on 3/21/24. She will be current on vaccines, microchipped, and thourley examined and cleared by our vet prior to her adoption.

She is a VERY sweet girl. She gets along great with all dogs, big or small. She has a very submissive personality and doesn't have a mean bone anywhere in her body. She truly is full of nothing but sweetness and love ❤️ She is very good with men, women, and children alike. She is shy at first, but once she is your girl she is your girl forever. She will be your shadow, and paw at you to pet her. She loves being held, or to be in your lap. If you are busy, she will simply lay close by in her bed, or choose to lay in her crate. She is very easy going, and doesn't show any signs of anxiety when left alone.

She is crate trained, and currently sleeps in her crate at night, or to nap during the day by choice. She is working on leash confidence and is doing pretty well, and in time will learn to love every adventure it takes her on. Her prior owners never taught her to be on leash, so it was a brand new experience coming to us here. She is also, doing amazing at house training and understands to go outside to use the restroom. We take her out every couple of hours, and haven't had any accidents since with us. She is also pad trained, and will use a pad if needed.

Her prior family had very busy work schedules, and in the end couldn't commit to the time needed to not only train her, but be there for her like she deserved. She was often left alone from morning, til they returned home in the evening. She was their first dog, and didn't realize how much their absence would affect her happiness, and well being in the end so they reached out to us here to take her in and find her the home she deserved.

Adoption fee Along with its breakdown is on our website at breadoflifek9refuge.org under her listing/available for adoption tab.
