My name is Ellie! I’m a sweet, smart and playful girl! I love cuddling, sitting by my person, and doing whatever my person is doing! I also love toys, bones, food, treats, playing, running and fetching! I’m pretty energetic at times and get REALLY excited to see my people when they come home. Sometimes it takes me about 5 minutes to calm down and regulate myself, but I will calm down! Although I am energetic and playful, I am actually really calm most of the time, and I like relaxing. I am potty trained and know some commands like: sit, stay, go, hand, & kiss. I know my name and definitely will come when called (even when on the other side of the house). I learn pretty quickly, as long as you give me a treat and praise. I am looking for a loving family or person who wants a really good companion. I need to be in a home with no other dogs and no little kids though because my excitement is difficult to control when the energy in the house is high or I am playing.

Friends of Rescue is a certified 501(c)(3) organization formed in 2009, consisting of volunteers who are devoted to saving shelter animals that are in danger of euthanasia. Southern shelters have a constant overflow of dogs and cats, little funding, and limited space. Once the animals arrive at the shelter, they have very little time. It is our goal to help save these adoptable animals and find loving individuals/families who will provide committed, FORever homes. We are NOT professional trainers or animal behaviorists; simply volunteers who are trying to save these animals from euthanasia. Each animal in our program is in a foster home and receives all age-appropriate vetting while in our care.
