This is Big Guy. Despite his tough-guy name, this 11-month-old is extremely timid and scared. Big Guy is a Labrador Retriever, shepherd, and Blue Heeler mix, but is very petite at around 30 lbs. While he will still fill out a bit, he’s not going to get much bigger than his current size, making him a nice, medium size. Big Guy has not had much socialization and is petrified in the shelter. He’s grown up surrounded by other dogs and would benefit from being in a home with another dog who is confident and can show him the ropes. He’s still mastering potty-training and is not yet very comfortable on a leash. Big Guy is known to chase cats. He would be fine in a home with older children who understand his fears. If you can provide Big Guy with a patient, supportive, secure, and calm home that allows him time and space to come out of his shell, you’ll assuredly be rewarded down the road with a sweet, loving companion.
