Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Merida is a very sweet and beautiful girl with a bobtail that we rescued as a stray in December. She was living outdoors in the cold with a group of other cats and being fed by a kind man, but the situation was getting overwhelming for him. Given how friendly she is and how much she enjoys petting, we suspect Merida may have been a pet who was abandoned at this site to live with the group of cats there. She really is very sweet, though she may be standoffish at first until she knows you are safe. Once she does trust you, she wants nothing but love and cuddles (and maybe a little food).
When we brought her in for spay surgery, the doctor noted that Merida had significant dental disease, making us suspect that she was an older girl. We are really only guessing at her age but our best guess is 5 years old. In order for her to live her best life, pain-free, we sent her in for a dental cleaning and she had five of her problem-teeth extracted. She has fully recovered from that procedure, her mouth is fine now, and she is more than ready to find a family to love her forever. Please reach out to cpc@packleadersrescue.com if you have any specific questions about Merida.
Merida is fixed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and is FIV/FeLV negative. Cats adopted from the rescue must remain as indoor pets only and must never be declawed. Please apply to adopt at packleadersrescue.com.
