Mitch was rescued about 8.5 years ago as a kitten and then given to me a little while later. He's a very affectionate cat - he likes to sit on your lap or right by you at night. During the day, he likes to sleep or watch out a window in the same room as you. He loves to ride in a stroller and go for walks. He's a very loving cat but my allergies aren't allowing me to give him the love he requires. I had severe cat allergies as a child and they got somewhat better as I got older. I recently went through Chemo and they came back 10 fold. I've tried every medication, different foods and litters for the cat, nothing works. I break out in hives, my eyes swell shut and I can barely breathe. I have other side effects from my surgeries and treatments and I'm heartbroken to have to rehome but it's my only option. I'm having to keep the cat the locked in a room most of the day now which is unfair to him. He doesn't need constant attention but he loves affection and I can't give that
