My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Fortune, a kitten with a personality as captivating as his name suggests. This independent soul cherishes his alone time, often found exploring the nooks and crannies of his surroundings. His curiosity knows no bounds. Yet, he is a gentle, sweet soul who loves the company of his sister, Whimsy. They share a bond that is truly heartwarming. Fortune is also quite the intellect, always quick to solve the puzzles of his environment. His favourite spot? By the window, watching the world go by. Despite his shy nature, he's friendly, always ready to share a moment of affection with those he trusts. Adopt Fortune and you'll not only gain a companion, but also a friend who will fill your home with love, curiosity and sweet moments by the window.

More about this shelter

The Gananoque & District Humane Society (GDHS) is a volunteer run no kill animal shelter that takes in abandoned or surrendered animals, provides them with medical care and attempts to find them forever homes. Every animal that enters GDHS is quarantined, assessed and examined by a vet (if necessary), spayed or neutered, microchipped, and given vaccinations prior to being available for adoption. We do not receive guaranteed funding from any source and rely on the generosity of our community.
