Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Shelley is a SWEET, VERY SWEET girl. She's gotten terrible treatment and really needs a champion in her life. She was dumped, in the rain, in Rouge Park on a rainy day, she looked confused and was limping. She obviously was looking for her people and in pain. She had had a litter of puppies, that was obvious as she had nipples hanging, but worse of all, she was now scared, alone and someone saw her being let out of the car as it drove away.
The person went to her after observing her for awhile crying, pacing limping after the car it was obvious what the scene showed. Lucky for her someone was watching and went to her to comfort her. The rain started and they couldn't just leave her there so they brought her with them to their home and called us.
She's been to the vet the next day and we are treating her, she will need us to fix her but we can do that. She's housebroken, very smart, very confused, sore as she has a torn toe and her muscles are also sore, maybe from chasing her people's car when they dumped her. We aren't sure, but she's sad she's looking for comfort and it's breaking our hearts to see her suffering.
We are looking for a compassionate person to either adopt her or foster her was we get her vetting done and find her a loving home. A non smoking home is super important for her and all pets. Just like it is for a child's home to be non smoking. Second hand smoke has caused more pets to suffer with COPD than you can imagine.
If you can help, foster, adopt or donate to her care, we sure could use the help. She needs treatment for a few things and all her shots and spay. Call or text me at 517 294 4514 or email me your phone number to marlas2468@yahoo.com
