My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This little dog had been hanging around a small store in rural Kentucky for about a month. The owner of the store chased him away by yelling at him. Since he apparently wasn't cared for by anyone, a rescuer stepped up, took him to the vet for vaccines and preventatives, then took him home with her. She named him Georgie! (Some of you may remember the old cartoon "I'm going to love him, and hug him, and call him "George"." She asked for SPCHS to help find him a furever home, so here we are!

Georgie is estimated to be between 3-4 years old, weights about 16 lbs, and is presently not neutered. SPCHS will finish his vaccines at the 3 week point, and will make sure that he is neutered and microchipped prior to adoption.

Georgie is a sweet little dog, very quiet. He seems to be house trained, but marks in the house since he is not yet neutered. He is doing fine with all the dogs and cats in his foster home. He is curious about the cats but doesn't bother them. Our dog scanner app says that he is a terrier mix -- likely a carin/norfolk/Dutch Schmoozhund mix.
