Meet Bruiser, a charming canine companion ready to find his forever home! Bruiser's journey led him back to the shelter after his previous owner faced health challenges. Loyal and loving, he's a true "good boy" who forms strong bonds with his human companions. Bruiser takes his role as protector seriously and may display some protective behaviors around his loved ones. However, with proper introductions, he warms up to new friends, though a gradual approach is preferred, especially when meeting other dogs. While he's potty trained and walks wonderfully on a leash, Bruiser may thrive best as the only pet in the household. If you're ready to welcome this delightful pup into your life, please submit an application to get in contact with his foster family.

More about this rescue

Arizona Small Dog Rescue is a non profit registered 501(c)3 no kill rescue shelter. We are a group of volunteers who have dedicated our lives to rescuing and saving homeless, unwanted, abandoned, neglected, and abused small dogs. We save most of our animals from kill shelters around the valley, but also accept owner surrenders and stray surrenders. Owner surrender fee’s vary depending on space and availability. We spay/neuter, vaccinate, medically examine, microchip, and evaluate and/or socialize all dogs that come into our rescue before placing up for adoption to pre-screened homes. We rescue many dogs every week and always have a wide variety of personalities and breeds available who would be a perfect fit for any family and any home.
