My name is Lava Cake!

Meet Lava Cake! Lava Cake is a 4 month old, currently 21-pound Pit Bull Terrier mix overflowing with sweetness and charm! With her irresistible cuddles and affectionate nature, she'll steal your heart in no time.

Lava Cake is a sweet active pup who has the energy to match her adoration for her humans. She loves to snuggle next to you while you work but also enjoys playing fetch and chewing on all her toys (and sticks when she's being sneaky!). Lava Cake has learned how to "sit" for treats and knows to "stay" when going on walks. After enjoying time outside sniffing the grass and exploring her surroundings, it's time for zoomies and Lava Cake sure knows how to run with the best of them.

Lava Cake is a social butterfly who loves every dog she meets and isn't shy when asking them to play. She would do well as a single dog however can definitely learn from a resident dog. While Lava Cake can use wee wee pads inside, she doesn't always hit her target so we've been working on getting her to go potty outside. This will take patience and time but will be worth it in the end (for Lava Cake and her humans!).

Lava Cake loves to nap - on the couch, on the floor, but her favorite is your bed so be prepared to share! She enjoys spending time with her humans but is slowly learning how to hang out on her own. She can use a crate but is not comfortable being in one on her own yet or for a long period of time. Treats and encouragement are helping her adjust during crate training.

Lava Cake may be small but eats like a champ - she enjoys her kibble but loves her treats! She is food motivated and is best friends with whoever is feeding her. She is friendly with humans and dogs however not cat tested.

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
