Tuscaloosa, Alabama, is sometimes referred to as T-Town, but in THIS case, you can call this sweet scruffy 6-month old, 20-pound (as of 3/20) terrier Tusky, for short!
Tusky is completely housebroken, pad-trained, and crate-trained. Exceedingly smart, she is a fast learner in ALL respects, and has, in no time flat, mastered the commands sit and come. There’s no telling how far this ‘lil mop-head can go!
Tuscaloosa walks nicely on a leash and will trot right beside you, unless she spots a potential friend up ahead. Attentive and alert, Tusky will immediately respond to correction and always aims to please! At the dog park, Tusky is very easy-going, readily allowing other pooches to sniff and assess her, while hanging out enjoying the smells, sights, and sounds of the playground.
Back at home, cuddling is probably Tuscaloosa’s all-time favorite activity. That, and being pet. Comfortable around adults and other dogs, Tusky thrives in the company of others, and is equal parts playful and couch potato-y. She loves her toys, she loves her belly rubs, she loves her sofa, and she loves her treats. You can touch Tusky anywhere and she’s fine with whatever. She’s a relaxed traveler, as long as she’s in a carrier. Pretty much, as long as she’s with YOU, Tusky is happy no matter what!
Being a bit of a country bumpkin, Tusky can be a tad skitttish when it comes to loud noises and fast movements, but as she becomes more acclimated to bustling city streets, silly kids, and shiny lights, she will learn to be more chill about that stuff. It’s just all so new to her right now!
Tusky would make the perfect companion for someone who either works from home or who isn’t gone for super long stretches at a time. She is fairly quiet during the day, and totally content when she knows someone’s around. And as she matures, she’s getting better at being left alone too. A true people dog who feels a deep connection to her humans, Tuscaloo’s heart is full of love and whoever adopts her is in for the treat of a lifetime!
