Winston is a beautiful, shy boy who came to GOFAR in fall 2022. He was a stray in Miami and was pretty shut down, as he had no human interaction at all. It has taken him awhile to come out of his shell and trust people, which is understandable. Through a lot of work with our wonderful volunteers, Winston is now ready to find his forever home.
Winston's perfect family would be a household on the quieter side with humans who will allow him time to gain their trust and understands that it may take a bit for him to show his true personality. Winston gets along well with other dogs, and a dog friend may help him adjust quicker to his new environment.
Winston is a smaller shepherd mix (maybe some Plott hound), around 2 - 3 years old and weighs about 35 pounds. Winston's sister with a very similar personality was adopted a bit ago and has completely blossomed in her forever home and we are now hoping for the same for this sweet boy.
Winston's adoption fee of $250 has been reduced to $100 thanks to the 2024 Kia Pet Adoption Grant and covers up-to-date vaccines, vetting, neuter, microchip, deworming, heartworm test (negative) and lots of TLC provided at GOFAR.
