My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi Everyone! My name is Seraphina and I am one cute puppy! I am sweet, petite, and very active, just waiting for that special someone to fall in love with all of my cuteness and take me to my forever home.

People are a little scared about a small condition I developed at 4 weeks old, but trust me, it is really no big deal. My vulva is inverted, meaning that it sits on the inside, instead of the outside of my skin, but it is completely covered up by a little bit of extra skin, so you really can't see it. All I ask is that you keep me as clean as possible "down there". Many times, this even corrects itself as I grow up . . . now, moving on to more important things about me.

As I said before, I am active, spunky, and always climbing on top of my brothers since birth. I'm the oldest, what can I say? In addition to being very playful, I just love playing with my toys! I will take attention from anyone, but I'm not really a cuddler.

Although I enjoy and want to play with other dogs, get ready for gametime (it's that first-born thing again).

I eat really well and my foster mom is working on housebreaking with me. After all, I'm just a puppy! I do go outside to do my business, but I'm still using the paper inside too.

I'm very smart and already will sit nice for treats. I do a little of the puppy nipping and I jump around a lot. Training will begin with my next set of shots and I hope that my new family will continue taking me to keep learning new things (free of charge), so that I can turn into the perfect little girl!

If I sound like the pup for you, please fill out an adoption application at :
almosthomefoundation.org

The adoption fee is $475 which includes deworming, microchipping, 3 sets of puppy shots, rabies and neuter when old enough. After his/her neuter, you will get a $55 refund.

More about this rescue

We are in need of Foster Homes for our homeless animals!!! Can you help?

What is a Foster Home?
A foster home takes in one of our homeless animals rather than boarding them at the kennel and cares for it until we find a permanent loving home. Almost Home Foundation pays for the all animal's food and medical expenses. The foster home learns the animal's temperament and behaviors. The foster home learns if they get along with other animals. The foster home provides insights on the animals that helps Almost Home Foundation look for the right home for the animal.

Please help!! Just fill out this form and we will contact you or call 630-582-3738 and leave a message letting us know that you are interested in fostering!

We are an all-volunteer, registered, not-for-profit 501c3 animal rescue group. Our mission is to save adoptable dogs and cats from being destroyed by finding permanent, loving homes. For details, visit us online at www.almosthomefoundation.org.

Almost Home Foundation is always looking for volunteers to handle dogs at adoption shows, set up adoption shows, write for the newsletter, photograph events, or foster animals. For a list of opportunities, visit online at www.volunteermatch.org
or www.almosthomefoundation.org.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
We are a Rescue not a Shelter. This simply means we do not own a building where we house animals. We look for loving foster homes that will give temporary care and love on the animal’s journey to a permanent, loving home. When a foster home is not available, we will board the animal at a boarding kennel.

Our 5-year goal is to have a shelter. This is an aggressive goal that will take many donations and memberships. We will strive for this goal with a great team of volunteers and help from people like you! Please become a member, become a sponsor or make a donation.

Our animals are found strayed and brought in from the police. After being held for 7 days, we evaluate the temperament of the animal and determine if the animal is suitable to be a pet. On rare occasion, we will also rescue animals that are in desperate situations where the rescue makes the difference between life and death. We do not accept Owner Give-ups.
