We took in Mookie as a foster in December when his owner passed away after a difficult illness. Mookie was adopted as a kitten; he was the only pet with a single owner. Mookie misses his owner and needs time to recover. He is already much calmer in the time he's been with us.
Mookie is a 5 yr old, neutered male Tabby. He is large at 20 lbs. Other than being a bit overweight, he had a great check up at our vet in December. He comes with his own litter box, cat bed, carrier, toys, and food.
Mookie is not a lap cat but is affectionate and will purr and “head butt” you to get you to pet him.
He loves to be brushed. He loves his toys and bird watching. Loves drinking water from a cat fountain. Loves sleeping under the covers. He chases and swats other cats, but this is also improving in the time he's been with us and our two cats. He is good with all ages of people but children would need to be educated on how best to interact with him.
Mookie would thrive as the only pet in his new home.
