MEET EMBER!!

Ember is a 5 year old Australian Shepherd. Ember is well trained and is eager to please. She can be a bit shy and cautious at first, but warms up once she gets to know you. Some of her favorite pastimes include chasing soccer balls, walking, and enjoying the outdoors, but Ember also is happy hanging out inside with her family. Ember is an excellent camping companion and would love to join in on any adventure. She gets along well with children and does well when their friends come to the house. She is crate trained but prefers to be out and about. She is also learning how to use a dog door. Ember does have some dog aggression with the other dogs in the current household so she would do best as an only dog. Complete an application and start some fun adventures with Ember!

All potential adopters will be required to complete our Adoption Application, read and sign our Adopting Policies and Procedures, and participate in a home visit by one of our adoption representatives. Our Adoption Application is located on our website: www.underdogaz.com.

We also have a mandatory two-week Foster With Intent to Adopt trial period for all animals in order to be certain the pet is a good fit for your family.

Our standard adoption fee for dogs is $200; puppies are $250.

Non-standard fees do sometimes apply. Puppies younger than six months may have a higher fee. Designer dogs, purebreds, and other toy type breeds may also have higher adoption fees than the standard $200.

We do, however, have discounted fees for dogs that are seniors, a pair of dogs adopted together, or cats. If you are a veteran or an active duty service member, please ask about our partnership with Pets For Patriots.

All Underdog pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped prior to adoption.

We are a 501c3 non profit, your donations save lives and are 100% tax deductible.

More about this rescue

Underdog Rescue of Az is an all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescuing and re-homing of abandoned and/or abused dogs.

We are a foster-based rescue, and do not maintain a physical base of operations. All of our animals are placed with loving, caring safe foster families until they are adopted. We are also an "All Breed" rescue, and do not discriminate based on breed, age, size, etc.

Underdog's mission also includes educating the public on the issue of animal welfare. We strive to promote shelter reform, spay and neuter education and emergency rescue information & assistance.
