Meet Chieftess! This sweet lady takes a little bit of time to adjust to new environments, but then she's laying in bed with you ready to snuggle. She is on a urinary diet to help manage her urinary crystals, and she just had a dental procedure that left her with only a couple of teeth. She is recovering beautifully, though, and is now ready for a new home. Chieftess has lived with other cats before, and we don't know her history with dogs. Any new friends would just need to be introduced slowly since she is a nervous girl.

The first step in our adoption process is to submit an adopter profile through our website. We then encourage you to visit PARL at 34 Elbow Street and get to know the animals we have available. You do not need an appointment, and we invite you to visit us often. PARL’s goal is to assist you in finding your best match for a lifelong companion.

When you arrive, you’ll sign PARL’s visitor log, and staff will direct you to PARL’s cat rooms, small animal spaces, or dog kennels (depending on your preference.) We encourage you to spend time outside with the dogs, or petting our cats and small animals. Please ask questions -- that's why we're here.

If you don't find what you are looking for the first time, please come see us again! Chances are that we will have some new furry friends available for adoption, and one of them might be purr-fect for you!
