My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Huckleberry was abandoned in a neighborhood when his family moved away and left him behind. He wandered the neighborhood for weeks before Animal Control picked him up. Buck loves to play all the time and loves to be outside. Huckleberry is definitely a water bug and loves swimming in his Fosters pool. He is potty trained and crate trained. He stays in his kennel while at work and at night. He has been ok with cats in the past but he chases Foster’s cats. Introduction to young family dog was challenging as both pups wanted to be dominant. Foster thinks he would do well in a multi dog home and she also thinks he’d be fine with cats once he was used to them. He’s never hurt a cat, he’s just a very playful pup so he enjoys chasing them. He walks great on a leash. He’s a great boy with lots of love to give! He’s a big strong boy, so we’re working on manners and maintaining that training is important to his success since sometimes he forgets that he’s big boy.

More about this rescue

Quincy's Hope was founded with the belief that every dog's life has value. We exist solely to make sure that unwanted, neglected, abused and homeless dogs find their place in the world. Our job is to ensure that they find a loving forever home. We do that by taking all of the steps necessary to provide health care, training for all of our dogs and proper home checks to potential adoptive families interested in adoption in hopes to prevent our last chance pups from ending up in a shelter. We work closely with shelters near and far to help reduce the rate of euthanasia for dogs in the eleventh hour. We also provide spay/neuter, food assistance and other services to those less fortunate in order to keep pets with their families. Education is of utmost importance to our rescue and we have programs in place to provide education to our local community regarding the importance of spaying, neutering, vaccinations and overbreeding of dogs. We are a foster-based network of volunteers and we are always looking for approved foster families to help us in our quest to place homeless dogs in loving families.
