My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

I need a home without cats or small animals.

I'm ready to learn! I need a patient person who has the time to work on training with me.

I don't always like to share my food, toys or bedding with other animals.

I love getting pets and - you guessed it - snuggles!

I will need daily physical activity to keep me healthy and happy!

I am playful and cute!

A volunteer writes: Everybody knows that there is no such thing as perfect. However, Penny is perfect! This charmer is as sweet as can be. Although she is a young and exuberant girl, she has a mature and composed streak. Penny is a very good walker who enjoys her excursions around the neighborhood. She will make some lucky adopter a lovely companion. Come meet Penny at Manhattan ACC.

My BoroughBreak Buddy Writes: If you want to adopt the SWEETEST dog you will ever meet, I have the dog for you. I've been fostering dogs for five years and some dogs are sweeter than others but Penny gets the bone. She walks perfectly on the leash, takes treats from your hand very gently, house trained and most importantly, loves belly rubs. Did I mention how cute she is? People on the street point out how cute she is. If you a best friend for life, two year old Penny is the dog for you!!

My foster writes: Penny is one of the sweetest, friendliest pups I've ever met! Not only is she insanely pretty with her copper coat and amber eyes - getting her attention everywhere she goes - Penny is also a smart cookie. Already she knows "sit," "stay," "paw," "dish," "bed," and "heel" so she just needs consistency with commands and daily exercise. She is also a huge snuggle bug who loves to please her person. Adopt this sweetheart for endless adventures and cuddles on the couch!
