My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Location: Granite Falls, MN

**EXPERIENCED HOME NEEDED**

Hi! My name is Raider. I am a purebred American Bully (I'm embarked!) and am approximately 3ish years old and weigh 61lbs. I am a smart, happy boy ready to find my next adventure! So, sit down and relax while I tell you all about me!

Let's start with the pawsitives- I really freaking looooveeee my people. I'm housebroken and crate trained. I know "sit", "shake", "lay down", "out", "around", "place" and "stay". I am also treadmill trained. Foster mom taught me how to play frisbee and I have competed in one frisbee competition and earned an award in novice division! I would love a home that would continue to play disc with me- either competitively or just for fun in the yard. I really like to do things that engage my brain and body- including tugging on the spring pole and even chasing the herding ball around the yard. I'm your do-it-all dog! I have high drive in the following areas: food, tug, ball, disc, possession, prey. I have medium hunt/search drive.

While I have lots of work ethic and intensity, I have an excellent off-switch in the house and am an expert snuggler. I will happily binge all of your favorite TV show with you, no problem. Rest assured, you'll always feel safe with my macho presence and know I will alert you to visitors, rogue squirrels any other suspicious activity (when the cats do shifty things mainly). You can always count on me!

You're probably asking yourself why such a great hambone like myself is in need of a home. I became available for adoption again after my pack-mate and I decided to have our own fight club... and unfortunately, we cannot reconcile our differences. I can't have a home with any other male dogs (submissive males *may* be ok). Ideally, I would be the only dog or live with one other very laid back/ passive pooch. I want to be the man of my house!

Outside of that hiccup, I need work on leash manners and emotion regulation. I am REALLY easy to live with at home, but I get overstimulated in situations outside of my element (waiting my turn to play, vet appointments etc.) and I would benefit from learning to navigate those big feelings appropriately. Foster mom has started working on this skill with me and she can provide educational training resources for my future home to help me be successful- so don't fret!

Overall, I am a GREAT boy. I have lots of love and loyalty to give to someone and deserve the world. Would you give me a chance to be your forever?

** Raider is registered with AKC Canine Partners to participate in performance/companion events and his registration will be transferred to his new owner

Raider is a phenomenal dog who needs an experienced and knowledgable owner to be successful. Bull Breed/high-drive dog experience is strongly preferred.

The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).

Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (Distemper, Rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).

Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved.
