My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I'm Charlie and I'd love to be your BFF! I am 5 months old and I already know how to sit and lie down! And I am working on stay and come. I am the perfect age and temperament to start training to go to dog friendly places! I love following my humans around the house and settling wherever they are! I love to snuggle with my humans when I'm tired. And I love all other dogs - they are my playmates! I also love the cat I'm fostered with - but he doesn't seem to like me back. I'm trying to change his mind though! I've even tried to mimic him by lying on the back of the couch too! I just can't figure out how he balances back there, but I'll figure it out eventually! I have very good manners when taking treats. I take them very gently and am not grabby like I hear some other puppies are. I am crate trained and know how to use a doggie door! I am very good at remembering to use it when I need to and almost never forget anymore! There's only one thing keeping me from being the happiest and luckiest pup in the whole world - I need a home and family of my very own! Don't you want to be my FORever family?

More about this rescue

Friends of Rescue is a certified 501(c)(3) organization formed in 2009, consisting of volunteers who are devoted to saving shelter animals that are in danger of euthanasia. Southern shelters have a constant overflow of dogs and cats, little funding, and limited space. Once the animals arrive at the shelter, they have very little time. It is our goal to help save these adoptable animals and find loving individuals/families who will provide committed, FORever homes. We are NOT professional trainers or animal behaviorists; simply volunteers who are trying to save these animals from euthanasia. Each animal in our program is in a foster home and receives all age-appropriate vetting while in our care.
