My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BUDDY is a 6-year-old kitty who was originally only supposed to spend one winter with us. He was an outdoor stray that was being taken care of, and his caretaker was worried that the winter would be hard on him. Unfortunately, she never returned in the spring. Buddy has shown us that he would like to be an only cat. He accepts affection from those that he has bonded with, but can be contrary with strangers. He needs a home where he can be given his space and time to come around on his own terms. He would also excel as a barn cat catching little mousies and keeping other feral cats away. Buddy can coexist with dogs and is not afraid to put them in their place if they get too annoying. Buddy has been neutered, tested negative for FIV/leukemia and is vaccinated. Adoption $50. Please fill out an application for Buddy at www.companimals.org.

Go meet their pets

Our shelter has visiting hours - Wed through Sat from noon 'til 5 p.m. You're welcome anytime we're open.
Most our our dogs live in foster homes, and will likely not be at the shelter unless arrangements are made ahead of time.
We do hold monthly "Meet and Greets" at local pet stores, but here, as well, to meet a specific dog arrangements should be made in advance so that
your potential new best friend can be there waiting to meet you.

More about this rescue

CompAnimals Pet Rescue is a small not-for-profit "no kill" rescue. Our mission is to take in unwanted, abandoned or abused dogs, cats and other small pets; to place those we can in loving, permanent homes; and to provide a sanctuary for the animals whose age, health issues or temperament precludes them from adoption. Our dogs & cats are neutered, vaccinated and receive all necessary medical treatment beford being made available for adoption. Through our volunteers and outreach programs we educate the next generation about the importance of spay/neuter and giving a lifelong home to their pets. We hope to one day put ourselves out of business but until then we will continue to rescue regardless of breed, age or medical condition.
