This helps Paws in Middle Georgia Animal Rescue with pet care costs.
Meet Grey!
Grey showed up in someones yard with a bone sticking out of his leg. Animal Control picked him up and took him to the vet. Turns out the break had happened some time ago, so Grey had surgery to remove the dead bone from his leg, got neutered, and all the other fun stuff of getting ready to find a furever home. Seems his body had learned to operate without that part of his tibia, so recovery will be much easier/faster than if they would have had to pin or plate the bone. The officer that picked him up took him home to recover and has signed on to be his foster while we seek out his furever people.
One might not expect this boy to be so sweet, but he is an absolute doll. He's tough as nails and sweet as candy. Since being in foster, Grey has been the perfect house guest. He is house trained and crate trained. He's made friends with the toddlers, the cats, and the other dogs that live in the home. His foster says he's relatively quiet and near perfect in every way. Although she isn't sure if Grey is afraid of the vacuum, or if he's opposed to the family spending to long cleaning instead of paying attention to him.
He is treat motivated so if his furever home wants to continue his obedience training, he would be a great student. He takes treats oh so gently as well.
Grey has dissolving stitches in his leg at the moment, but he will be ready to go in another 2-3 weeks. In the meantime, he's available for a date - if you'd be interested in adopting him.
