Hey there, I'm Tru, the ultimate cuddle bug with a heart of gold! At 5 years old and 50 lbs, I'm a proud Bully with a stunning ticked coat that sets me apart. I live for affection and loyalty, and nothing makes me happier than snuggling up on the couch with my favorite humans. Yep, I'm the kind of pup who loves stealing blankets just so I can cozy up with you! I love chilling with my foster Mom in her office while she works. And when it's time to eat, you'll find me carrying my bowl around—it's my little quirk!
Now, I gotta admit, I do get a bit anxious when my humans leave, but I promise I settle down quickly in my kennel. And when it's time for walks, I'm your perfect companion, whether we're strolling through the neighborhood or exploring nature trails. Squirrels and ducks? They don't faze me one bit! I love to get out and explore.
New situations and people? Yeah, they make me a tad nervous at first. Once I warm up, though, get ready for some serious belly rub requests—I can't resist them! I'm going to be working on building my confidence with The Texas Dogfather starting March 22. If I find a family, they can join me there too, and we can grow together!

Additional adoption info
We are extremely thorough with our adoption process. Our goal is to find the best fit for our dogs. We reserve the right to deny anyone a dog if we feel the applicant is not qualified or is not a good fit for the dog at our discretion. We require two personal references that we call to check character and get a recommendation on why or why not the applicant is a good candidate. Also, we call the vet reference to be sure the applicants current dog is current on vaccinations and heartworm prevention. The home check is mandatory to be sure the applicant lives where they say they live and the pet will live in a safe environment.

More about this rescue
The Charity's specific purpose is to rescue lost or abandoned dogs from shelters, from the streets or from owners who are no longer able to care for them. Our goal is to prevent further euthanasia of these animals. All dogs receive medical care and behavioral training as needed to prepare them for a new home.
We do not have a facility.
All of our dogs are in foster homes.
The charity will also focus on efforts to educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their animals to prevent the overpopulation of animals in Texas.
Our adoption fee is $300 which includes alteration, vaccines, microchip, training program in some cases & any medical treatments needed for each dog to be 100% healthy and successful in a home. Must have an approved application to set up a meet and greet.
