My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Hoppy and I am about 1 & 1/2 years old. I am a sweet boy who is a little shy with being here. You may notice I am missing my front right leg. Here is a Medical note from the veterinarian:

Hoppy came to us not using his right front leg because he could not straighten it. He had suffered severe trauma to this leg which made it unusable. Therefore his right front leg was amputated. He seems to be adjusting to being the new him very well and is healing nicely from surgery. He has no restrictions in his forever home; he should be able to figure out stairs, cat trees, furniture etc just fine. We recommend that he have a litter box available on each floor he has access to, so that he is not forced to use stairs to get to his potty.

Hoppy also suffered an injury to his left eye. He has a cloudy spot on his cornea (corneal scar) and it appears that a small area of his iris (colored part of eye) has stuck to the back of his cornea. He seems to be able to see with this eye, and it is not currently causing him discomfort. It is possible that later in life, the eye could become enlarged and painful (glaucoma) or develop a tumor secondary to chronic inflammation. Therefore he should have his eye monitored with pressure checks and retinal exams by your regular veterinarian or a veterinary ophthalmologist

I am neutered, microchipped, and up to date on my vaccines. I am available for adoption at the Pet Pantry’s main facility, 26 Millersville Road, Lancaster. If you think I may be the purrfect match for your family please fill out an adoption application! Applications are available at our location as well as online at petpantrylc.org. From there, our adoption coordinator will be in touch!
