My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Janie - a gentle soul eagerly awaiting her own forever home. She's proven to be good with the cat in her foster home and has interacted positively with children. Each morning, she exchanges playful barks with the neighbor's dog, fostering a friendly rapport. Janie finds solace in her crate, viewing it as a secure haven where she willingly rests, even with the door open. While she initially hesitates with leashes, once on, she adapts well to walks. Although naturally reserved, she's incredibly affectionate when held, reveling in ear and belly scratches. While she may be shy around unfamiliar faces, Janie displays a gradual openness, gently nudging for pets when she feels comfortable. Sweet, timid, and shy, she thrives in a calm, patient environment, yearning for someone willing to coax her out of her shell. With time and nurturing, she'll blossom into an exceptional companion, harboring untapped potential and a hidden puppy-like spirit waiting to emerge.

Janie signals her need to relieve herself by barking at the back door to go potty, showcasing her eagerness to communicate. She dreams of a compassionate and understanding family or individual who will guide her towards newfound confidence, recognizing the wealth of potential within her.

Adopting from HEA

FROM OUR FAMILY TO YOURS:
Adoption is a huge deal to us. We make a lifetime guarantee to our companions. In return, we’re asking you to provide a lifetime commitment once you’ve invited a pet to join your family. We’re excited that you're considering adoption. We look forward to working with you to find the right match!

TIMELINE:
Our primary objective is to assure the correct match for the people and the pets that we’re sending to their forever homes. Our goal is to send dogs and cats home as quickly as we can, while still being thorough. Processing times will vary and are largely dependent on our ability to connect with your references, landlord, and veterinarian. To keep the process moving along, please make sure you’ve done your part:
1) Fill out your application completely - missing information slows down the process.
2) Let your references know to expect our call.
3) If you rent, let your landlord know to expect our call.
4) If you currently have pets, ask your veterinarian to be prepared to release your records.

LIFETIME GUARANTEE:
We make a pact with every animal that enters our care: They’re promised a loving home for the rest of their life. In turn, when you make the commitment to adopt, we ask you to make a lifetime commitment. We believe family is forever.
