My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Please welcome Hyde to WWR! Adopted originally from Texas, this sweet boy found himself without a forever when he arrived in Rhode Island. Thankfully, we know German Shepard’s are well loved here and we scooped him up. We believe Hyde to be 10 months of age and on the quieter side; we will see how he does when he arrives soon. Hyde has been neutered, is UTD on vaccines and has been microchipped, the adoption fee is 600.

Additional adoption info

If you are interested in adopting please email wags.n.wiggles.rescue@gmail.com for an application. Once we receive your application a volunteer will call and chat about your application. We will call your vet and personal references and do a home visit. All of this helps us pair you with the best possible match for a successful adoption.
Once approved we will make plans for you and your family to meet the dog you are interested in. If all goes well, you bring home your new furbaby.
We do require you to sign an adoption contract.

Our dogs are fostered in foster homes after the initial quarantine at our facility in Croydon which helps us learn their personalities and help them learn how to be a house dog as the majority of our dogs are saved from shelters in the south. We are also committed to helping local dogs as well as the occasional cat and other pets.
Our adoption fees are $400 for adults and $450 for puppies. Seniors and hard to place dogs will have special fees to help them find their furever homes.
All of our babies will be up to date on age appropriate shots, flea\tick and heart worm preventatives, heart worm negative, microchipped and have a health certificate.

More about this shelter

We are a group of like minded women who have been involved in rescue for quite some time with other rescues over the years but decided to strike out on our own.
We are all very passionate about trying to save lives and placing them in forever homes. We are all volunteers with busy lives, families and pets of our own but realize the need of doing rescue right.

Our dogs are quarantined in the south for a minimum of two weeks before being transported north. They are seen by a vet, updated on vaccines, tested for parasites including heartworm, spayed/neutered and get interstate health certificates prior to travel. Upon arrival in NH, our dogs are quarantined and then seen by our NH vet for a health certificate.
Our dogs are routinely dewormed and treated with flea/tick preventatives as well as heart worm preventatives and microchipped.
We are not a huge rescue as our heart and soul goes into our dogs so we try hard to find the perfect home.
