My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name, age: Bernice, 2 years

Likes: Attention, playing with toys, treats, wet food, being pet, cuddles (on her terms), naps on your bed

Dislikes: She's not the biggest fan of being carried, but she'll tolerate it in short bursts

What would be the ideal home? Bernice seems pretty flexible overall. She can be a little skittish at times - she will often run away if you approach too quickly - so perhaps a home with toddlers wouldn't be the best match for Bernice.

Good with other cats? Unknown

Good with dogs? Unknown

Good with children? Unknown

Personality: Bernice is a quirky and sweet cat. She's shy to start, but becomes comfortable with people quickly. She is extremely chatty and loves to play. She is easily startled and will run away if you scare her. She loves to be pet, enjoys belly rubs, and does not mind having her paws touched. Bernice enjoys lounging on the couch, a bed, or chasing her toys. She is a fan of treats and loves her wet food. Bernice enjoys a bedtime cuddle, she will often lie by your feet/legs if you're lying in bed, and will make her way up to your chest to get right up in your face for snuggles.

How long will it take to settle into a new environment? In her current foster home, Bernice was given a couple days to settle in (in a spare room with minimal interaction) which was enough time for her to get comfortable and begin interacting with her fosters. She can be a little skittish at times, so she may need more time to become fully comfortable and confident, but overall it does not seem to take her long to settle in.

Any special needs or traits an adopter should know? Bernice is extremely chatty!
