Gilly spent all of her young life in a backyard without socialization. She is a shy pup with no aggressive tendencies at all. She is very adaptable and food motivated. You can leave a trail of treats from her crate to outside and she'll come out independently, even outside of the pen, just be patient and try a couple of times. Her crate is definitely her safe haven and she does need some time and patience before she opens up to venture out of it, especially if other people are in the room.
Peanut butter is her favorite special treat! If you place it on your wrist, you can coax her out of the crate and while she's licking it, she'll let you pet her. She also will happily lick up little bits of water or yogurt off your hands. She does prefer having people in the house and around even if she isn't the most social dog yet. She also enjoys relaxing with some treats and enjoying some DogTV in the background. Because she is still learning to trust humans, she prefers coming out at night to do her business and potter around a bit more in the quiet of the night. Overall, she's a really wonderful dog, a total sweetheart, and day by day she's getting calmer in human presence and just needs someone patient and loving.

Interview
We will contact you via email to let you know if the dog is still available and to book a telephone call interview.

Meet the Pet
We'll invite you to meet the dog at a fair, or in some cases at the foster's home. Dogs over 6mos will go to a 1 week adoption trial.

Home Check
When the pup is in your home we'll follow up to see how it's going and volunteer will visit you for a home check
5.
Sign Adoption Contract
If all goes well you'll come to our next adoption fair to FINALIZE! Pay the fee, sign the contract, get your photo!

Our adoption fees are $325 for dogs over 1 year, $350 for puppies 6months - 1 year, and $425 for puppies under 6 months. All dogs are spayed/ neutered, vaccinated and microchipped prior to adoption. We also give new owners an ID tag.
