This happy, handsome-faced fella is ready to find everlasting love! Obi is a 1-year old 9-month, 65-pound Lab/Pointer mix who is a nature enthusiast, 100% housebroken, and totally crate-trained.
Obi is playful and spirited, particularly when he’s got another pup to romp around with or whenever someone engages him in a game of tug-of-war. He loves spending time outdoors and getting as much fresh air as possible. Toss a ball to him and he’ll fetch it every time!
Obi gets along well with adults and other dogs, but jumpy children and large crowds are not exactly his thing. He much prefers gentle humans and quieter-type settings. Cuddly and sweet, Obi loves being pet and having his belly rubbed. Scratch him behind the ears, and watch his eyes slowly close until he nearly falls asleep!
Smart and eager to show off, Obi has mastery of several commands, including lay down, sit, no, come here, go to your crate, and get your bone. Given how much he likes treats, Obi is capable of learning even more words and phrases.
Obi travels well and generously shares his space and his possessions. When he’s not busy playing, Obi enjoys quietly sitting on the couch, gazing out the window. If you ask him to go into his crate, he does so without hesitation, and doesn’t not bark while in there. Not a peep! What a guy!
Obi would be a great fit for anyone who can offer this dude a relatively calm household, but also someone with enough time to keep him active and amused. What you’ll get in return? An absolutely phenomenal companion!

PupStarz Rescue ensures that adoptions are an appropriate match for both the animal and their new family by educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a furry companion into their lives.
We are committed to the welfare of our "Starz" beyond the adoption process. We maintain open communication with our adopters to ensure a smooth transition, and offer additional support such as positive training techniques.
