My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Ruby came to our shelter on February 10, 2023 where she was living without food and water and their home was deplorable with filth. Ruby had several puppies and which some died from starvation. Her owners are now in jail where they belong. The owners had been arrested in 2019 for animal neglect and abuse in our county. The courts told them they couldn't have any animals for five years, however they moved to a neighboring county and committed the same crimes. Some of the animals in the home died. We offered to help the animals as their county doesn't have a shelter. Ruby is happy to have plenty of food to eat. She deserves a family to show her what true love looks and feels like. Ruby needs to be the only animal in the home. She can sometimes get jealous of the other dogs. She does not like cats! She is up to date, spayed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $100

More about this shelter

Our shelter is staffed by only a few employees so we greatly depend on volunteers to help care for our animals.
We work very closely with rescue groups to help move our dogs out of the shelter quickly. Our goal is to never have to euthanize for space. We cannot do that without rescue assistance because our adoption rates are very low.
