My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meiko was found as a stray in Northern California and landed in a shelter. He was underweight, already neutered and his age is estimated at 6 years. Meiko is good with other dogs and is friendly with people (even the vets!). He is possessive of his favorite bone and will give you a little growl if he thinks you will take it, so he probably shouldn't be around young kids (who tend to wave crackers/food in their hands and may want to borrow a yummy dog bone without asking). He is about 39 pounds, but could still benefit from adding a few pounds. He is fostering in the Sacramento area. we will post more as we learn about his personality.

Go meet their pets

At this time we are showing pets by appointment. Most of the pets displayed here are in foster care, some are in kennels at boarding facilities and need foster homes. Please feel free to email us so you can fill out an application, which is required prior to meeting dogs

We are happy to send additional photos and bios of pets to prospective adopters.
