Meet Greta!
Greta is a beautiful senior german shepherd who ended up in an overcrowded shelter after being found as a stray. When found she was dirty, flea infested and underweight, indicating it had been a long time since she was cared for. Greta spent 5 months at the shelter where no one came to claim her and no one was interested in adopting her. All of that is behind her now! Greta is a very polite, mature gal with a wonderful temperament. She housetrained, comfortable in a crate and in true shepherd fashion Greta aims to please her people and is very attentive to whoever is handleing her. Greta will make it her " job" to protect her yard and people from the world if allowed but with leadership and clear boundaries this behavior can be avoided. It seems as though she had some training at one point in her life. While Greta does well with other dogs and has really enjoyed playing with some puppies since she's been with us, however she may prefer to be the queen bee in her home (only dog) as she doesn't always love to share her space/attention. We do really think she would enjoy having canine pals outside her home though. Greta is what we would consider a young senior who has plenty of pep in her step. At her senior check up her blood work looked great! Be sure to keep your eyes peeled on Instagram (@nwdogproject) for updates! If you would like to be considered as Greta's forever home, be sure to submit an adoption application on our website!
