If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Nashville is looking for a new owner without children or other pets, who is willing to create a consistent, safe space in exchange for a loyal, sweet friend.
Nashville is a 7-year-old English Springer Spaniel. We adopted him as a puppy from a local breeder. He is a smart dog, who knows more than 10 commands (including sit, down, off, and stay). He loves to play fetch; the perfect owner would have time and space to play. He is a big snuggler around those he loves and enjoys cuddling in bed (although he is crate trained!). He has no health issues and has had consistent heartworm/flea/tick prevention.
Nashville is fearful/anxious when meeting new people or animals and he has nipped people's hands when approached. Training has been helpful to prevent nipping, but he is still afraid of our toddler. We're heartbroken to rehome our fur baby, but we believe Nashville would thrive with a patient, loving owner who has experience with anxious dogs.
