‼️Available for Adoption‼️
Henry the 2nd

Henry (also affectionately known as Henry the Second) came to our rescue earlier this month. He was adopted in February from the local county animal shelter but surrendered to us a few weeks later once his owner discovered that he does not enjoy car rides very much. That was a problem for her because she travels often.

We were happy to welcome Henry to 4 Lucky Dogs since we are confident that we can find him the perfect home!

Henry is still just a puppy at 12 months old – he loves to play and is GO-GO-GO. He LOVES toys, balls and all things that squeak! Henry weighs a svelte 10 lbs. We suspect he may be a combination of chihuahua, beagle and dachshund, but who really knows! He is a cute as a button with soft fur and a curly-que tail.

Henry is neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated. He has a condition known as cherry eye, which was evaluated by our veterinarian and determined to be minor and primarily cosmetic at this point. It does not bother him at all. However, his adopter should be aware that he may require surgery in the future if his condition worsens.

He is being fostered in a multiple-dog household and has also been around cats. He can be cautious with new people (not unusual for small dogs) but warms up quickly. Overall, he seems to get along with everyone.

Henry would probably enjoy having another young, playful dog in his forever home, but that is not a requirement to adopt him. We think he would do okay with respectful children.

He does have an off switch and will nap while his foster mom works on the computer. We believe he is housetrained, as his foster mom reports that he had only two accidents upon arrival and appears to be potty-pad trained but will also go outside to do his business.

Henry is a young, healthy and happy little dog who will make a great addition to a very lucky family! Please apply for Henry the 2nd at 4luckydogs.org
