My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Friendly and Playful 1 year old Neutered male Husky/Shepherd looking for a home! He weighs 48 pounds and has beautiful markings. He is sweet and loving and likes to be by your side.

He is great with other dogs of all sizes and loves to go to dog parks!

He is a perfect dog to take on walks and hikes and is leash trained. He loves to play ball and tug of war!

He is housebroken and crate trained. He is not a barker. He is good with kids and cats!

He is neutered, and up to date on all of his shots, including his rabies vaccination, micro-chip and he comes with all his records.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Caring for Canines does have an adoption fee for pets to help us rescue more in the future. Since all of our dogs are spayed/neutered, have their shots, are micro-chipped, vet checked and been through behavior training, our adoption fee will enable us to reimburse some of these costs. Dogs vary according to age, health condition and other variables but will range from $50 to $500.

We have a standard contract that will need to be filled out at the time of adoption and which requires the adopter to commit to proper care of the pet.

We will also spend some time before adoption either when you are visiting the dog or on the phone ahead of time, talking to you about the dog as well as how it might fit into your household. We just want to be sure the dog and you are happy!

Go meet their pets

We have many fosters throughout the metro Phoenix area but our main location where we have most of our rescue dogs is at 40th Street and Shea in Northeast Phoenix. Normal operating hours are 11am - 7pm Monday through Friday and 11am - 6pm Saturday and Sunday, however all meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only. Please call us at 602-573-3141 to arrange a time.

We also have Saturday and Sunday adoption events at Pet Club Shea and other Choice Pet Markets throughout the Valley so please look at our website for more information.

More about this rescue

Mission Statement : To rescue dogs that are unwanted, helpless, overlooked or turned away because of their breed, color, nationality or age
We rescue the dogs that no one else wants.

Whether left to die in the local shelter or starving and homeless on the streets, we take them in, provide them with medical care, spay and neuter services, micro-chips, vaccinations and behavioral training. After careful screening of the potential new family, we attempt to adopt the dogs to the best home possible.

We Care for Canines.....One Dog at a Time!
