UPDATE: Sully has been with a trainer for the past few weeks and has now moved to a foster home. What we have found is that Sully will need regular exercise otherwise he has been known to climb his way out of a shorter chain link fence. He is great with other dogs, is fine with cats and great with kids. He really likes kids but they must be respectful. We believe there was mistreatment by a male and he may bark at them and even back away but once he knows you are no threat he is fine. He would love another dog to play with in a new home and a family who is active and will exercise him. A house where there is not a lot of outside stimulus is preferred. A house set a bit off the road if possible. His new foster mom says he has a heart of gold and all he wants is to be with someone, to belong.
Sully was originally rescued from City Dogs Cleveland after he tested positive for heartworm. He has now gone through his full treatment and is fine. Sully is close to 3 years old and currently 29 lbs but could lose a couple lbs. His mix appears to be Corgi with a shepherd/lab head. Sully rides well in the car and is housetrained. In a new environment, he wants to mark but that stops quickly. (That is why the wrap in the photos). If interested in Sully, please email hartmanshounds@gmail.com. His adoption fee is $200.
