My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ruby has been through so much! First, she was a stray that had been running loose for a long, long time! She was eventually captured but was VERY pregnant! She ended up giving birth a week after her capture, but things took a turn for the worst! She fractured hip hips giving birth and immediately lost two of the puppies. She was rushed to the emergency vet where they performed a c-section. Sadly, the vet said she would not be able to nurse her babies and her babies were taken from her to be placed with experience bottle feeders.

While her babies all found a safe place to go, Ruby was left behind fighting a painful battle. After everything that happened, she ended up getting pneumonia during her stay at the vet. Weeks past, and she was finally cleared to join our rescue! She has been so sweet and submissive throughout her whole ordeal!

Ruby deserves the best happy ending a dog could possibly have! If you would like to adopt Ruby, please submit an application to be considered!

Additional adoption info

Petty Pawz Rescue reserves the right to deny adoption applications if we do not believe the family or animal is a good fit for you. We stand by our animal's and their safety and only want to set them up for success! Petty Pawz Rescue is operating with less than 3 people, so it may take longer than expected to hear back with your application status.

Go meet their pets

We generally host adoption events at our headquarters (contact us for address) every Saturday and Sunday from 9-2pm. We can also make arrangements throughout the week if you are not available to visit. We are foster based and have to align your schedule to the foster's schedule in order for you to meet the animals. We do not have a facility you can visit at this time.

More about this rescue

Petty Pawz Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization focused on rescuing and assisting animal shelters that are overcrowded or animals considered high-risk. We do not accept owner surrenders at this time as our focus is animals that are in immediate danger. We specialize in pregnant animals, orphaned animals, senior dogs, or animals needing medical assistance. We are foster based and can only accept what we have availability for foster wise. We take in both cats and dogs, big or small! Our mission is to prevent the overpopulation in animal shelters and to find loving forever homes for the animals in our custody!
