Who on Earf is this tornado wrapped in fur? It's Earf! Like most adolescent huskies, he is full of energy and has no manners. Earf was found as a stray, so we don't know what the first year of his life was like. He has many of the behaviors of a typical husky and is quite the handful, so we are requiring that potential adopters have experience with the breed. We are also requiring that all members of the household including children and other dogs meet with him before adoption. Earf is very smart and will need a family who know how to give both his brain and his body a workout. Earf to adopters; come meet this playful, love bug today!

To adopt visit us at 1101 Western Ave, Pittsburgh PA 15233 during the Adoption Center Hours below.

Our adoption process is aimed at matching you, your family and your current pets with our animals for adoption. An adoption counselor (or volunteer) will introduce you to our animals in a private meeting room. We will share information about the animal's history and needs, behavior assessment and any volunteer / staff comments.

When you find the right pet for you and your family, the adoption counselor will assist you in completing the proper paperwork. This process includes signing an adoption contract, reviewing medical history and providing proper pet care information. This process takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.

What you will need in order to adopt:

A valid PA state ID with your current address.

We recommend all members of the household meeting the animal before adopting.

If you are interested in adopting a dog and have other dog(s) living in your household, it is recommended that all dogs meet each other at the shelter.

Certain animals require additional steps.

Adoption fee is accepted in cash or credit/debit card. Checks, American Express and Discover are not accepted as payment.

PLEASE NOTE: We are not able to hold or accept a deposit for animals. Adoptions are approved for the first qualified home.
