Chimama has come a long way in a short time. She was dumped in a small town and had to be trapped to get her to a foster home where she delivered 3 puppies. She is a fantastic and attentive mama. She is slowly warming up to people and will need patience to adjust. It will take time to gain her trust. People have not always been so kind to her. She was found with Go Daddy, so she gets along with some dogs, she will be fine with cats too. She is just starting her leash training and is doing wonderfully. She goes outside to do her businesses. She keeps a clean kennel over night or while you are at work, preferring to go potty outside. She is very treat motivated. She should be ready to go Mid-June after her spay appointment.

We require potential adopters to fill out an Adoption Application. When that is approved we can arrange for the prospective adopter to meet the dog they are interested in. We do require an adoption contract to be signed at time of adoption. We have a virtual home-check process (don't forget to submit photos of the exterior of your home!) Adoption fees range depending on the age of the dog. We do have dogs located at qualified fosters throughout the state and also out of state.

Since all rescue dogs live in foster homes, there is no single facility to meet pups.
You will need to contact Ewenity Farms HDH to make arrangements to meet the rescue dog after you have an approved app on file. Apps can be filled out at ewenityfarm.org

More about this rescue
We are a small, foster-based rescue organization located in Southwest Florida. Being small helps us give more one-on-one attention to individual dogs and their needs. Rescued dogs are kept in our homes and treated as our own. Herding dogs are unique. They are highly intelligent and require much of the owner’s attention. The dogs are evaluated, when they come into the rescue, for any temperament and health issues. Then they are given basic obedience, socialization and rehabilitation as it is necessary.
It is our sole purpose to find forever homes for these loving, wonderful dogs that have been discarded through no fault of their own. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, micro-chipped, and on flea and heartworm preventative.
