My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HI, I'm Maise! Unfortunetly, this isn't my first go around here at PCHS. The first time I was here I was a puppy so it was more fun. This kennel life is just not for me. I've got a heart full of love and a mind as sharp as a tack. I'm the loyal companion you've been searching for, a friend who'll stick by your side through thick and thin. I'm a bit particular about my company, though. I prefer the quiet and calm that comes with adults. Little ones and other pets are a no-go for me. I promise, though, I've got enough love to make up for it. I'm smart, too. I learn quickly and love to show off my new tricks. I'm friendly and sweet, always ready to greet you with a wagging tail and a happy bark. I just need a fenced in yard and someone willing to help me with training! I'm just looking for a home where I can be your one and only. Will you be my forever friend?

Oh, Did I mention that a wonderful person has sponsered half of my adoption fee? Well they did!

If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to request an appointment to meet me. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come.
