My story

Hi! My name is Bagel and I want to find someone to give all of my love away to! I may take a bit to warm up to you, but once I do, I'll be your best velcro dog ever! I like to nudge your open hand for loves if you aren't using both - I love attention that much. I would love a fenced yard to play in with my sister since we both love to get zoomies. I have to be adopted with my sister Muffin because we are both extremely bonded to each other. I would do best in a home with no kids or older children who are respectful of a dog's space. A home with no cats is preferred. I am crate trained and prefer my crate for sleeping and eating as this is my safe space.

Dogs are not placed on a first-come first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal, applications may take up to 48 hours to complete.

All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Bagel & Muffin's adoption fee together is $325. Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
