My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Abby Rose, a 5mth old Cocker Spaniel & Terrier Mix. Abby will be fully vetted & UTD on all vaccines once she is of the appropriate age. This little girls is very energetic, she loves to play & be the boss. Abby is full of spunk & is so smart! One moment she is being rotten to the core & the next she is showing off her listening skills. Aby shows the capability of being a very smart dog once she comes out of the puppy stage. We always try to be honest about all of our dogs & cats. At this time, Abby is going through the teething stage & TERRIBLE TWO's & is a little brat. This little girl has the jaws of life & we are NOT JOKING! Once Abby has played with her toys & worn off all her energy, she is a very good girl & will follow you while you work or clean. But when she is ready to play, watch those puppy teeth! Abby does great with cats but she will try to play with them. She is timid with new dogs at first but once she get to know them, she does great. Abby would be perfect for any family especially once she is a little older. We would love for her to find a wonderful family with children. We know once she gets over the teething stage, she will be the perfect dog. Just look at her little face, how could you say NO?! Adopt Rose today! If you would be interested in giving me a furever home, please contact The Humane Society of Adams County, Inc. at (937) 544-8585 to set up a time to come meet me and fill out an adoption application!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is made up of two parts. Upon a decision to adopt an animal we require an application for adoption that asks questions such as housing and veterinary references. We then check references and may require a home visit. Upon approval you will fill out a contract for adoption and pay the adoption fees. Adoption fees are based on age and vetting required.
