My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Rocky! I may look like a big tough boxer, but I’m a snuggly male bully with a heart of gold like my namesake. I was found a stray until CEBR rescued me and now I’m looking for my forever home. I’m about 2 years old and your typically sized male bull, about 50-60 pounds, I’m neutered and up to date on all my shots. My wrinkles and eyes make me look sad, but my hops and butt wiggles tell you I’m happy!

I’m a pretty easy-going dude. I came into CEBR with some nasty tummy troubles, but they fixed me all up and now I’m looking like a handsome specimen! I’m a beautiful caramel brindle with an extra wrinkly brow and dark brown eyes – makes blending into the brown couch easy! I do like my toys, and they can sometimes be hard to get away from me, but I just play catch me if you can!

When I got to my foster home, my family almost called me Linus – because I LOVE a good blankie! THEN, I discovered this thing called the COUCH – have you tried these??? They’re amazing! Now my foster fam thinks I’m more of a couch potato than a bulldog!

I sleep in a crate at night and am usually crated if everyone is gone from the house, which is rare here. I don’t mind, as long as I have a toy and a blankie! I live with two canine foster sibs – Coconut, the princess, is tolerant of me and I respect her (very strict) boundaries. I can take the hint that I’m being too nosy! Lawrence is a lot smaller than me, so he’s much more skeptical and gives me more trouble, but I’ve never really reacted to his frustration with me. I like to run and play, so I think I’d do well with other dogs. I am also great with kids – my human foster siblings (and their friends!) love me!

I’m completely potty trained – no accidents for me! I’ve got some commands down, like “Sit” and “Down” (I’m really good at that one!) and I’m a great walker on the leash. I can get excited and I’m a big boy, but I listen when you tell me to get down.

I’m a really snuggly guy – your space is my space, especially when the space is very small! I like to rustle and squirm around until I’m nestled in just right – usually with no regard for your discomfort! But I’m cute, so I get away with it.

When I’m not snuggling up, I like to run around and play – I have a Kong (whatever that is!) and I like to run around with it in my mouth and toss it around on my own. When my foster fam members throw it for me, I LOVE it – but don’t know how to give it back yet, so they trade it for another toy and then we repeat the process. Works for me! I like to run around outside, too, and roll in the grass on warm, sunny days.

Do I sound like the perfect bully for you? If, so, lets meet up! -Rocky.
