My name is Leelah and I was found stray on the streets. No chip, no collar, no posted “lost” signs or clue to save my life as to how I got into this predicament.
A Good Samaritan, who is now my foster mom stepped in to be my savior. She provided shelter, shots and safety. I am forever indebted to her.
I am ready for my spay and am in the process of getting an appointment to have it done.
I am smart, sturdy and ready to start my training towards developing into a great canine citizen and companion. I love long walks and people.
Big dogs scare me and I start singing the song of my people, “Stranger Danger.”
I need to have more socialization so that the new things in my world don’t frighten me.
The good thing is I am still just a pup and I am confident that with patience and love I will thrive.
I am just 10 months old.
I weigh 52 lbs and am almost fully grown.
My foster mom thinks I am a French Bulldog and Staffordshire Terrier blend.

Leelah will need to be spayed before being released for adoption.

Additional adoption info
We want to ensure that all of our dogs go to wonderful, loving, new, permanent homes. We work hard to find the best home for each individual dog, to create a lasting “love connection” between adopter and pet. To that end, all potential adopters are carefully screened through our application process. We ask an adoption donation for each of our dogs. Every dog is spayed or neutered, given vaccinations, microchipped, and provided with any other necessary medical treatment before they go to their new home.
You too can help save a dog's life!

More about this rescue
Who We Are
Ken-Mar Rescue is a non-profit organization founded in 2007. Our dogs are rescued from pounds & from various situations of abandonment, neglect & cruelty. While in our care, each dog is given the love & attention they need to be adopted into a new permanent home. Each dog is sterilized, shots brought up to date & other medical treatment as needed. All orphans are groomed, well fed, exercised & socialized so as to prepare them for adoption. We have found homes for hundreds of dogs.
With your help, we can save more lives:
1. "Like" us: FaceBook.com/KenMarRescueFanPage
2. Print and post our orphan bios wherever appropriate.
3. Ask your employer if they'd be willing to put Ken-Mar Rescue on their list of preferred charities & "employer matching" donations.
