My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say HI to IHOP!

Appropriately named, this little guy came to us with a badly broken leg. With some TLC, his leg is almost healed and now it's time to start finding this precious pooch his perfect home! IHOP is also heartworm positive and will need treatments for that-Freedom Ride will begin his treatments but if he happens to find his forever home before they are finished, we will continue to cover the costs until he is officially HW-negative. Heartworm treatment does require a lot of downtime and crate rest, but after the treatments are finished, this little guy will be as good as new!
Despite his ailments, IHOP is a very energetic little buddy. He is a goofy little guy who hops and scampers around the house looking for fun. He loves the bigger dogs in his foster home and tries to rough house with them (not easy with a broken leg, but he tries!). He loves to chew and is still learning that his teeth go on TOYS, not people, so a steady supply of chew toys will be great for IHOP. Because of his injury, his leash walks have been minimal. As he continues to heal, he'll need owners who will work with him on his leash walking skills to help him be more confident on walks. He sleeps nicely in his crate all night without a peep. IHOP is a happy guy who WANTS to run, chew, wrestle, roughhouse, and play all the time, and once we get him officially all fixed up, he can do just that!

IHOP is ready to start meeting potential adopters now, but people need to be aware that it will still be a little time before he will be his "true self.
