**Courtesy Post** Pete is a little three and half year old guy that is wonderfully goofy! He has a very big personality in a small body only weighing about 20 pounds. He loves to take daily walks, run around the fenced backyard, and cuddle in the nearest human lap. He is smart as a whip picking up commands quickly using his favorite reinforcement —snacks!! He is very social - BUT, new acquaintances must approach him SLOWLY and give him time to sniff them out. He has snapped twice when both people got right up in his face much too quickly upon meeting him. When people take it slow and give him a moment to get to know them, he is ready to play and be friends! On leashed walks, he barks at the many dogs in our neighborhood (he’s all talk), and he loves to run with the other dogs at the dog park. (Our city dog park separates by size, so he's always with small dogs.) He is housetrained - his few accidents have been when I didn't let him out quickly enough. He can sleep for as much as 10-12 hours at a time if I don't disturb him. I feed him wet food once a day and dry food once a day. Pete will need a home without cats or children. No little critters such as hamsters, parakeets, etc. also, no farm animals as he will chase them. He does need a securely fenced back yard that he can run and play in. He would also love another young dog to play with. Females will be best. If you are interested in adopting my little guy please let me know and I will send you an application. We are asking a very small adoption fee. His new owner will need to drive to Dayton Ohio to get him. Please contact me if you are interested. sumasters57@gmail.com
